Spotted Bowerbird #2

Another one of the bowerbirds that passed through our camp at Bowra in south west Queensland. The tatty tree it's perched in is a mulga (type of acacia) that really get hammered by the stock - hence the broken twigs.
Removed an oof twig that ran behind the bird.

ISO 400 f8 1/250 overcast

cheers

Rod,

I like this shot a lot! I particularly like how the colors of the BG complement the bird. Very nicely done!

Lovely little bird and great pose! Love his "expression"
The colors and BG are very complimentary.
I might suggest cloning out that diagonal branch at the top right- it kind of draws my eye.

Excellent pose Rob, something has really caught his attention. I like the markings in his head the detail of which is very clear and sharp. Nice soft lighting and I like the complimentary background.Probably would have removed that top twig. Graham

I don't think this bird quite trusts you Rob but that look it gave you as a result sure made the shot for me. Much as I hate to chime in and encourage cloning I must admit that I'd probably do a number on the twig in the URC.

Rob,

I love the subtle coloring of this bird, from pale butterscotch to a warm mocha brown. The background compliments the bird's colors very nicely. I like how the bird is posed, it looks like it can't decide whether to stay or go. Lovely soft light. A very appealing image to me.
