These bugs seem to be all over the place now. After seeing them in my garden, I found several in the woods today too... They are not too fast, so they make nice macro subjects...

Very nice although I would have preferred a bit more space around the bug. I'm impressed with the lighting you got from your pop-up flash. I really like the soft green colors and the mottled, textured appearance of the bugs carapace. A bit more dof might have brought the antennae more into focus.

Rense:
A very good capture of this bug. Sharp where is counts. Like the marking on its body. :toast:

Nice, tight close-up, Rense. Good job on the narrow DOF.

Lovely light. Neatly exposed frame. Liked the perspective (the angle) of the shot.
This image is really good as presented. Just wondering if this was shot from a position slightly (to the) right from where you are (so that the bug is exactly facing u) might have taken this a level above. However, one can't be so precise while shooting bugs in field :)

The low angle is the main attraction for me,,,,,the subtle color and sharpness are nice.

Where it is sharp the detail is amazing. So a little more DOF would put this over the top. Still an excellent macro and kudos for the DIY diffuser.
