Very nice photo Lucy. I really like the dramatic sky above the sunlit flower.

A very dramatic image Lucy. For my tastes the fg petals would be sharper but I suspect you prefer them this way. Great point of view. striking image.

Unique perspective on the flower, Lucy. I didn't recognize it at first, so that's pretty imaginative on your part- also to include the storm clouds and then caption it accordingly. The dark clouds look noisy, though, darn it. Could be fixed, though; I sometimes get a successful result by applying the PS diffuse filter just to the sky.

Lucy, good combo of subject and bg, and although I agree that the fg petals could be sharper, this is an eye catching image.

Lucy,
I'm going to add one more comment. I don't see noise on my monitor in the clouds or anywhere else on the image. Different people have different tolerances for it. If you do run a noise product on this I'd be interested in what you find. I think the image is soft and that, that may be giving the appearance of noise.

I was lucky to find just the right flower for this shot. I did not do any photo enhancing, except to crop out a few vertical sticks. Maybe, I'll have time to do that later.

Lucy: Terrific POV and comp. The softness did strike me right away. Looks like a processing issue and not a capture problem. I like the framing and presentation very much. >=))>

An unusual and creative perspective. Like the inclusion of the clouds.

Very bold composition, Lucy - I like it very much. Maybe a touch too little dof for me but a very compelling image nonetheless.
