I've been spending quite a bit of time with moose lately, impressive characters. This big bull was enjoying an afternoon snack in one of his favorite marshes.

They are impressive creatures. I like seeing the dark dorsal stripe on this one.

HI Guy,

That's certainly an impressive rack! I'm with Peter in liking how the dark dorsal strip on the top of the back sticks out. I don't mind that that the head is tilted down and you've captured the animal foraging, but it's unfortunate that this pose has lead to the eyes being shaded (without any reflected light - catchlights - bringing them more to life).

Looking forward to seeing more moose shots in the near future!

Sorry Guy, but this image is just not fair!!! I would have loved to have this chance when I was in Colorado a couple of weeks ago. Very nice photo, nice color, good background, might be better if the moose had it's head up, but still a good photo. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful specimen, well captured! I agree a catchlight would have made it better, but I like it as posted.
