I took this one last Saturday on a photo shoot with my youngest daughter. A day of unmeasured treasure!

The road up the mountain is visible in the middle of the picture.

Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

This is really nice, Morris. What a beautiful view. I would loved to have been there to take this in. Best of all you got to do this with your daughter! I'm sure she will remember it just as you will. Thanks for sharing this.

nice detail and colors, Morris, I like how the tree curves just above the clouds. Taking your daughter out is sure to produce lots of good memories :).

Totally cool, Morris! I hope to steal some of the inspiration from you  This is my 2d fav of the series--i think with half the fg cropped it would be my fav

actually, I like the way you have positioned the tree much better in this M&N gallery shot. I realize you probably did it the other way (ESS) to avoid the rd. this is still a very strong image.

Hi Morris,

I personally prefer this composition to your other image seen here. I think the blend looks fanastic, the colors in the sky are awesome, and the tree is so very cool. The road isn't great, but the erosion or clear cutting on either side of it really distracts from the overall scene. I think cloning in trees would add significantly to the aesthetics of the image I also agree with Stan's suggestion of cropping some of the FG, altough I like it as presentented as well. Maybe selectively adding a bit of contrast to the rocks to create more visual interest might help too....An idyllic spot for sure and a wonderful place to spend time with a loved on.
