Bee Eater with Snack

Taken on my last Tanzania tour. We kept on this liitle rocket working the field for quite a while at sunrise. Finally got the pose I wanted with the bee.
Canon 1D mark 3 with the Sigma 300-800mm lens at 800mm at ISO 800 and f6.3 for 1/2000 sec.
Can't wait for my return next year to try these guys again!

Nice image. I like the crop you have chosen. The gold background works well with the bird's colors. Bee Eaters are beautiful birds. Must have been some trip.
