I like the composition. A few elements only , but effective. I think this could be enhanced by some processing - brighter midtones for example.

I agree with Dietrich, you could get some pop out of it.

Mark,

Welcome again to NPN and now to the ES&S Gallery. Glad to have you here.

Although I might agree that this could use some "pop," I would have to say though that the colors look pretty darn natural to me. I like the sense of a "sea of wheat" here, and with that I might consider cropping some of the upper sky. By doing that you bring even more emphasis to the field of grain.

Speaking of which, I don't have the heart to move your very first posting... but technically this is considered "Man & Nature" because it's a cultivated crop. Maybe not so obvious to a new member, and I'll just leave as a reminder for future posts. Hope that makes sense. Feel free to drop me a note if you have any questions.

Getting back to the image, you also can post up to 720px on the long end and also as a member you have the option of a larger, 1200px version too. This one is just a tad on the small side and makes it a little harder to evaluate.

Welcome aboard. We look forward to your images and participation.

Lon

Very pretty scene. The colors work well together and the billowing cloud is beautiful. I do agree about cropping a bit of the sky.
