With all the fantastic Hibiscus posts, I thought that there is some beauty even the day after.

Beautiful color, Bob. I like the diagonal presentation. You must have a steady hand to hand-hold at 1/30th.
I don't know if you have any experience with stacking but this gorgeous flower would be a candidate to play around with.

Nice going, and yes, there's beauty the day after too.

Cheers,

Carol

I really like the color in this Robert and your composition - surprisingly for me, even the cropped bloom. I do wish all of the front of the flower was in sharp focus. Well done and interesting for my tastes.

Bob: I do like the comp and subject. I may have to rethink some of my subjects. I never give the spent blooms a second look. For me a bit more DOF would be better. >=))>

Robert:
Past the prime flowers can be interesting to photograph as you have shown here. Wish for more DOF.

Robert,
IMHO a bit more DOF and a less tight composition would help!

Surprisingly touching, I think this is an evocative image. The bright highlights make it a bit stark, which seems appropriate to me to convey "after life." I love tight crops, but this is close, even for me.
