One does not have to go far into New Mexico to experience the special light that is so often there. This was just 8-9 miles across the state line.
Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,
Morris

This sings yellow Morris. You've done a great job showing that landscape here, and the light is truly special.

Wow, Morris. That is a stunning light show!!
Is this the stretch along US 87 just to the southeast of Raton? I usually think of this stretch of highway as being quite boring but in this light it is anything but boring. I like everything about this.

It's funny that Buck and Nick mentioned the feeling of openness this portrays. That's the exact first thing that came to my mind when I looked at this. This is really beautiful Morris!

Thanks for your time to comment everyone.
Brian, it's 285 going south out of Antonito, Colorado. But, it did remind me a lot of that stretch of highway in N.E. New Mexico. My oldest daughter lives in Amarillo, so we go that way a LOT. This is less volcanic than that landscape is.

Hmm, must be close to Arizona. Actually looks more like Arizona light spilling across the border. Very sweet.

Wicked shot Morris. I'm almost wishing the bush was on the right to counter the hill in the bg, but that's personal taste. Awesome light for sure.
