Catching some rays

Per Bill's shooting at noon theme here's one of catching some rays. Since you pretty much have to shoot water lilys in full sun, using a polarizer does help. Even so, I had to clone out some blown out specular highlights on some water drops.

I love the Lily in the first and the Frog in the second   .

Seriously awesome entry for the theme, Bob. Using CPL was a good idea. I cannot have enough of these water lily shots. Everyone of them looks so nice and refreshing  .

Composing the Lily+Frog a little more to the right might also have been good but perhaps there were practical limitations.

Beautiful image Bob. The whites look great and I like the frog. I also like the shadow of the lily on the pad. Perfect image for the theme.

Bob, I think you did a wonderful job of exposing the whites. I really like the translucent quality of the petals closest to the viewer. Is that a frog in the FG?
I think it would be nice if there had been a little more room on the left side since the flower is facing left and it feels as though there is an abrupt stop at the end of the frame.

Cheers,

Carol

What a nice image. The whites look very good and really stand out against the green. The water drops and the frog really add to the image.
