Cosmic Evocation

Hello :wavey:

This is "la Dent du Géant" mountain from " refuge du couvercle" at night . Long exposure allows this scene to become almost abstract .. moving clouds framing the scene .

Cosmic evocation ... mmmh

thank you .

Really a nice mood, the light on the Dent is gorgeous and I like the swirls of the clouds.
I'm not crazy about the stars though, I think there are not so many and the trails are too short for making them an interesting part of the composition. It would have probably worked better with sharp stars - perhaps blending a shorter exposition on this one would make it, otherwise I would suggest to crop from above where the sky is darker, and clone off the other stars below.

Other than that, a gorgeous shot that conveys tons of mystery and mood.

What perfect cloud placement and such great light on the peak. This evokes great emotion. I do agree with Paolo on the stars, but that's rather minor to me. All in all, an absolutely fantastic image.

Love the impression of swirling clouds around that peak.

Man, this is totally crazy to look at. Not so sure about the stars as there are not enough of them to hold interest. I'd almost crop this down a bit, take off the top, darkest blue portion maybe? See what that looks like, perhaps it would hold more attention to the mountain, which I think is the coolest part of the image. Cosmic indeed.

A mountain "peak"ing out of the clouds, great!

I like the way that peak peeks out through the bg and fg clouds captured here. It has a nice ethereal quality to it.

Lovely! The moving clouds and isolated peak, combined with the dark blues have a such a mysterious and peaceful feeling to them. Well done!

So many great shots in here recently and I have so little time to look/comments. Impressive capture, Alexandre. Another vote for the star cloning.

Different and beautiful. Looks perfect to me except for the stars, which I agree with some of the others about cloning out.

Liking this one Alexandre. I haven't read the other feedback but I suspect others might have mentioned it. I would prefer the star trail to be either much more of a trail or a pin prick of light. The view through the clouds though is just sensational. Your work is very appealing to me, bordering on surreal and very imaginative.
