Turnstone in Flight

Another from S.Beach in Chatham, Mass. I liked how you can see all the markings on the ruddy turnstone and how the colors of the waves sort of framed the bird. I think a catchlight would have made this perfect for me.

Neat image, Doug. I like the detail in the Turnstone and the way the bottom is visible through the water. I agree a bout the catchlight. :toast:

The pose shows off this bird nicely. Might be a tad soft, though. Like your comp here, Doug.

Very nice position in the air and I like the habitat. I agree with you, a catchlight would add a lot to liven up the bird. I agree with Wayne that the bird is just short of tack sharp.

I like slighly banking pose Doug, and there's good eye contact, and you did well with the exposure on what looks like a bright day. Sharpness looks good around the face and body, especially in the larger photo.

Nice flight pose Doug, agree with you on the catchlight. These turnstones fly fast, you did well to catch this one in flight.
