Wonderful colors! love the purple blossom against that great yellow and green background. Would have liked more definitive sharpness on the flower, at least on the nearest petals.

Beautiful colors Sandy. I would normally like the flower sharper as well but maybe because of the supporting bg here the softness in the bloom works for me or maybe it's just entirely subjective. In any event, I like this very much as posted, particularly the mood of it.

Don't recall seeing this flower in person. Looks nice to me - your background is perfect for this flower :toast:

Hi Sandy :wavey: I find the sharpness satisfactory for an outdoor shot @ 1/60 sec... The iso could be boosted to 200, to get more speed.. unless there's no wind at all... overall. its a fine presentation, with lovely color. comp. and B.G. :smile

What a lovely color combo Sandy. You captured a wonderful background for this bloom. I like the soft overall presentation, this is very nice as shown.

Just an observation; I would have expected more dof/sharpness at f/14 and if you did shoot off a tripod that should have elminated camera shake. The softness doesn't appear to be wind related so I'm wondering if the point of focus was in front of the flower.
