Canon 7D 70-200mm f2.8
Totem Poles. My idea was to stay low and get the rocks in foreground to flow into the background. ???

Well, let me be the first to say you did a good job with the light here. This perfectly captures this scene and there is very nice depth to the image. The warm colors are really appealing.

I think your composition is good, the foreground rocks do work. I guess its a pity you had to chop through a couple at the bottom of the frame, but hell, I know those rocks don't always want to co-operate! As Tony says, nice light, well done.

The fg really works well here Jay. The rocks offer an interesting entrance into the scene. Good work!

reat job on the comp and the light. It's nice and original to see this part of the world during a mid-day time, in addition to the spectacular sunrises/sets.

This shot turned out very well. It is very faithful to the location, and is very pleasing to the eye. Had I been at this location, I wouldn't have thought to use those rocks as a foreground. Nice going!
