Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge.

I was trying to capture a moonset reflection shot in the West, to no avail. When I turned around, this light show was happening in the East.

Canon 5DII + 24-105mm @28mm, F16, ss 1.6 sec, iso 100.

Beautiful shot Lance. The colors are fantastic. From a comp. staandpoint, the image looks a bit heavy on the left, with the dark tree and FG. Maybe a crop of this would help. I imagine the image was composed in response to the great light- it may have forced you into this view. Turning the camera to the right might have helped the composition, but the right side would probably have been lack luster compared to the left. It looks like you have made a good compromise.

Cheers, Harry :toast:

Excellent suggestion, Harry. I agree.

Fortunately for me, I also took a vertical that has the comp you're talking about.

Thanks very much.
