The Glowing Shark Fin

Raid Peak catching the first rays of sunrise light. This peak is 12,532 feet tall and was very impressive to see in person. In this photo, the tallest peak (Raid Peak) reminds me of a shark fin sticking up out of the water. Does anyone else see it? Raid Valley, Wind River Range, Wyoming. August 2010.

That is some intense beautiful light on the peak or should I say shark fin. I really like the blue and gold color combination, sometimes a beautiful blue sky can be a good thing!

Nice. The cool colors in the water contrast nicely with the warm light on the peaks. There's some haloing around the peaks that needs to be tamed.

I like how you kept the scene as simple as possible showing a beautiful moment over a dramatic landscape.

Nice light and color, Scott. The water must have been totally smooth. The reflection worked out great and the blue and gold color combination look very nice. I agree that that total blue sky worked out great for this shot.

I especially like the reflection with all the different rock shapes that line the shore.

Nice shot - very pretty, but honestly I find myself more attracted to the rocks in the reflection. I see some great comps there for some more intimate landscapes and abstracts, but that's just me and my personal preferences. All in all, a fine image.
