Blackfoot Color

Taken during a stroll along the Blackfoot River in Montana. The photo was taken with a telephoto lens from the opposite bank. The sun on the river was casting a nice light onto the bushes on the dark side of the canyon. The depth of field is a little shallow for my taste but I like the color.

Jeff,

I like your vision of this, but it seems very contrasty. I also think if you had only the center sapling in the frame it would have had more impact. Cropping out the right sapling might also work.

A unique image Jeff and the color contrasts work well. I wish you posted it a little bigger so I could see more detail...Great vision here.

This is fascinating, Jeff. I love the combination of the blues, the yellow shrubs, and the scattered yellow leaves in the distance. The blues appear rather saturated (maybe a result of a contrast boost), and the depth of field is troublesome (it's neither all in focus, no out of focus enough to appear deliberate). But I think you should keep pursuing this kind of image - I see great potential there!

Very enjoyable. Some of the leaves seem to be just floating around in the frame. Neat effect. Wonderful light.
