Nash Point + repost

Taken at Nash Point on the Heritage Coast in South Wales, UK.
I was waiting for the sun to set and saw the lovely warm evening light shining on the cliffs so I took this photo looking at right angles to the sun.

I like how the cloud patterns mimic the foreground rocks.
I wouldn't usually go for a 50/50 split like this but that sky was just too good to leave out of the frame.

Hi Geoffrey, I really like how both the sky and the rocks point the eye to the cliffs and the triangle of land just to the right of the cliffs.

The sky is awesome.

Cheers,

Carol

Geoffrey, I cetainly agree with your choice in composing this. This composition enhances the relationship between the sky and the land forms. Very dramatic shot that pulls me right into it!

Wow, what a comp Geoffrey. Well done. Did you shoot even later light? I'd love to see this same comp with the sky lit up!

Love the comp, Geoffrey. The warm light you mention isn't coming through in the image for me. Perhaps adding a warming filter in PS or a warmer WB if shot in RAW would help, barring waiting just a bit later in the day.

Really like the different lines in this one. Really great dramatic feel to it. I agree with the last comment that the warm light isn't coming through enough, so changing WB or warming filter would probably make this image even better.

Cheers

Thanks for the comments, you were right of course, I was a little conservative with the colours, how's this re-worked version?

Geoff.

Definitly like the repost. I think that without any drama in the sky that I would crop maybe a quarter of it off.
