Pre-sunrise on St. Joseph Bay near Cape San Blas, FL. A beautiful sunrise over calm water is always appreciated, and this sunrise was exceptionally nice. Just me and the mosquitoes enjoying this sunrise! LARGER version also provided for greater detail.

D2X w/18-35 @ 18mm
1/20 @ f/11 - MLU and mc-30 remote release
100 ISO
Singh Ray 2 stop soft grad GND
Tripod
Nice warm water to wade in
Capture One 4, CS4, TK's Luminosity Masks, Marc's web sharpening

Critiques, suggestions, and comments always welcomed and greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Great monochromatic image and wonderful reflections, Bill. Great how the clouds and their reflections both lead the eye to the sunrise.

Cheers,

Carol

Brings back fond memories of that part of the world, around Port St. Joe, Appalachicola Bay, and not the least, Tate's Hell. A wonderful picture. No nits.

I love the graphic quality to this. The silouhettes just add drama to a great scene. Wonderful light and colors as well. :toast:

Bill, I sure could put up with mosquitoes for a sunrise like this, and that mirror-like water doubles the beauty. Your comp with the dark part of the clouds on top is super.

Lovin the sky detail in the reflection, Bill. We FINALLY had a cold snap here that took care of the Mossies :toast:

That reflection is just gorgeous Bill, and the silhouetted land sets it all off nicely. The sky seems a bit dark in comparison to the reflection?

Classic, Bill! This looks to me like what an old school image should look like, only better!
