Fall Color-Desert Style

The light close to home lately has left much to be desired, but this weekend a storm rolled in and brought leaden skies. I know we will be seeing some great fall trees in the coming weeks, and I hope to add to the collection. But for now, the only yellow I see is growing three feet high. This is an unusually symmetrical Rubber Rabbitbrush standing all by its lonesome - under that dark, foreboding sky.
I like Stan's idea of commenting on the five previous - Gonna do the same!

Cool perspective. I like the color against the steely gray sky.

The contrasting colors make this work. A centered focal point is hard to pull-off and this works fine for me.

I like the in-your-face comp and the contrast of the vibrant bush against the stormy sky. :toast:

Nice shot, I could see this from even lower, framing the bush completely against the sky.

Boy that's a nice looking rabbitbrush. The isolation works well.

Works very nicely, Russell. The yellows are practically glowing and offer a nice contrast to the drabber colors elsewhere in the scene.

That is a nice rabbit brush! This is working for me. The sky looks just a little flat.
