First time I've managed to photograph these although they're quite common.

ISO 400 f8 1/200 exp comp -1/3 overcast

cheers

Bright, beautiful little bird in a great pose - and that yellow in the BG is a perfect compliment.
VERY minor nit - but that dark spot in the flower to the left of the beak catches my eye.

Excellent - very sharp about head, exposure is spot-on.

Rob,

Big congrats on getting your fist images of this species, it is an awesome looking bird. Lovely exposure control, details, sharpness and comp. I really like the background too, just OOF enough to give a sense of place.

Beautiful, Rob. I like the comp and the flowers in the bg add some interest and sense of habitat. :toast:

Wow! Gorgeous! Excellent details and color. The composition is good and the background gives just enough information to keep everything grounded. Very well done. :toast: :toast:

Spectacular Rob! The background is so complimentary to the subject. Wonderful composition, perch, feather detail/sharpness, head angle and exposure. Just beautiful Rob.

Rob, where do you come up with all these different species. Dang. Yep, another very nice shot. Sharpness, exposure, and DOF are great. BG not bad either. Well done.

A very pleasing image as posted. The bright colors are handled well and don't overpower the composition.

What a cool little bird and congrats on your first capture. Looks much like our common yellowthroat(the bird I last posted) with the colors in different places. A fine image! Sharon
