These birds move around in pairs and small parties through temperate and semi-arid woodlands of southern Australia.

Excellent image. The bright spot in the upper left corner is a bit distracting, but over all very good.

Excellent pose and composition, Rob. On my monitor, it looks a bit soft. Nice bg. :toast:

Lovely composition and colours. I like it that you have included some yellow flowers giving a hint of habitat.

Very interesting plumage - I like the white around the nape as it is unlike anything here in the U.S. And, of course, I love the understated colors and setting.

Hi Rob,
Great perch and background. I like the alert look this one gave you. I think it was good the head didn't protrude into the white area of the background.

Rob,

That is a gorgeous bird, I like the soft, subtle coloring, the mask like appearance around the eye and the great pose.I find the background very appealing too.

excellent perch and angle. The subtle coloring on the bird which matches up perfectly with the BG is an excellent addition.
