A different shot of a very common tropical and sub-tropical species. Taken in Panama at Canopy Lodge this past winter. About 60% of FF. Usual sharpening drill.

The inquisitive pose makes the shot for me Jim. A lovely species with an unusually large eye. I suspect the slight head softness is motion blur at 1/320.

I like this interesting pose. Seems a little soft in the head (as am I sometimes). Wing and feet are quite sharp.

Jim,

What I like most about this image is the posture and head angle of the tanager, the bird looks curious about something. Love the soft blue/gray of this species.
