A caper before dawn

For a while, I quit the photos of the holidays for presenting images of caper flowers that hang down the Roman walls sorrounding Rimini, the town where I live. Seven years ago I was surprised to find a caper plant blooming on the walls. Now, the whole Roman walls are almost covered with descending nice flowers. These plants have found their ideal habitat.
I begin with an almost complete bloom, as the others photos show some details. I have not jet found my lost f/22.

Half an hour before down, some days ago.

D700, Nikkor 200mm. macro - f/4,8 and ISO 400

I post the same photo taken at dawn, half an hour later, hoping to know which is your favorite. Thanks.

Whoa! Love both but the first more - the lighting is better and the bg color in the first shows up the purple better. :toast:

Both are very nice Gigi. The DOF works very well on this shot. I perfer the second one as I like the warmer colors a bit more.

It's a tough call which one is better because they are both awesome if I had to pick I will say the first one. I think it has a nice illuminating look. :toast:

Gigi, This is gorgeous. The DOF is so incredible and the tips of the petals or whatever they are really pop out as though they are electric.

WOW! Keep 'em coming.

Cheers,

Carol

Both are outstanding but I prefer the second one as it's warmer and the green contrasts better as a result.

Wonderful shots, Gigi. I prefer the second one for the warm colours.
I really like the composition (it reminds a parabolic aerial!).

Congrats

I like the cool version, meaning top version, better.

How lucky for you that these are plentiful! I'm jealous!
These are both great images and so delicate in their presentation. I prefer the way the flower seems to glow in the first one, but I have no objection to the warmer version, either!

I like both Gigi but prefer the warmer composition in the second. For me the taller OOF portions are a touch distracting but I like the rest of the images very much.

Both look just great to me. Its really tough to make a pick - only you can pose this difficult challenge.

Love the radiating lines and of course the superb colors :toast:

No way to pick the favorite here, Gigi. I love them both. Each has its own mood. Your comp is super. Good thing you misplaced your f22 on this one. They're gorgeous.

Yes, the first is uplifting and the second sombre. Excellent mood in both, and magnificent light and color. :toast:

Both are beautiful, Gigi, but perhaps I slightly prefer the tones of the first. I am greatly enjoying your work at the large apertures - in this one the anthers seem to sparkle above the currents of light rising through the stamens.

Gigi: Inspired comp and capture IMO. I'll give a very slight edge to the second version. Really well done.>=))>
