I took this one across the western edge of the Great Sand Dunes about 3 weeks ago now. I loved the pastel colors from the dry storm approaching the dunes.

I really like the color palette of this image, Morris. The separation between the mountains and the clouds is perfect. Superb scene!

You could not have asked for a better sky! There is so much drama here with the complimentary colors. :) This is such a unique shot of an often photographed location.

That is one sweet sky! Just lovely pastels. The sand dunes make a nice foreground element of interest too.

Wow, if there ever was an image to define layering in the clouds, this would have to be it. The cut-off between the virga and the upper set of clouds is so pronounced it really makes this image quite unique. And the landscape, well, what a fabulous accent to the scene. And as much as I like the entire sky, you might consider a pano crop of some sort - as an alternative (not a fix.) Amazing conditions and a fabulous capture and image.

A very different dune image Morris, the point of view and that great pink sky. Not overdone and the representation of the light conditions is rendered naturally.

Really nice. I love these colors. Beautiful scene and excellent comp. I enjoy the layers of the dunes going back into this scene. This looks like it would make a beautiful large print with such wonderful colors.
