Scissor-tailed Flycatcher

Upper Texas Coast

D3, 600, ISO 800, f7, 1/200.

There were many Scissor-tailed Flycatchers moving through on migration. Almost every fence line had birds on them. I managed to get this image right at last light. I will be sharing how I got this image in my next newsletter for those who have signed up.

This is a stunner Alan. Great comp, DOF, and detail looks good where it counts. Nice pose on a nice perch as well. We had one of these here in Ohio this year that caused quite a buzz around the BWing community. Wish I would have had the opportunity to get some shots. Great capture.

Love these birds. This year has been a bumper crop! I'm impressed with this perch and image. They have such a predilection for fence wire-that's where all my images of them are. It may just be a monitor thing, but the breast here doesn't seem to be quite right. I think they are just a touch more gray.

Gorgeous. How nice the bird choose that nice sunflower to sit on. It compliments it well as does that nice green background.
