Frogs of Fall

The frogs were out in numbers this weekend due to a warm fall day.
Most were in the water but I couldn't resist taking this shot of this one floating on a lilypad with the colorful fall reflection surrounding it.

Canon 7D with tripod, Canon 300mm @ 210mm, Aperture Priority, 1/4sec, F/16, ISO 100.

Large version added.

Thanks for looking and all C&C welcomed.
John

Just gorgeous reflections and I love how tiny the frog is.... reminds me I need to try and get some fall frog shots. I'd take the time to cleanup the water just a bit and get rid of the very noticeable imperfections on the surface then print it out and hang it somewhere prominent.

This image has and interesting illusion to it. The frog and the pad almost looks like it is floating in the air. For me my eye feels confused and I can't put my finger on why.

Very neat image John, besides the obvious beauty of the water and colors, the little leaves on the pad also add to it. :toast:

Hi John, I can understand John's 'confusion' here, which I think is caused by the 'lack' of BG separation due to the reflection, which is something one does not expect with a frog on a lily pad. However, I do love it for that, it's creative and unique; an image that will probably make anyone look twice! The coloration also is lovely. In other words I love it. :toast:

The "floating illusion" Richard mentioned hit me as well. Cool shot.
