Nearing The End

I took this image last weekend. I liked the way the lines in the yellow maple leaf matched the leaves underneath it. I slightly adjusted the leaf for a better comp.

Canon 7D with tripod, Canon 100mm macro, Aperture Priority, 2sec, F/29, ISO 100. Quality levels adjusted quite low (4) to get within 200kb guidelines.

Large version added.

P.S. I just noticed the new image size was increased from 200kb to 300kb. I'll keep this in mind for future posts. :smile:

John, The colors are very different. I like that the subject leaf appears to be floating.

Where did you see that the image size was increased to 300kb?

Strong composition and a fine support bg for the main leaf John. I might try to bring a little more light into the ULC but not sure about that. Beautiful Fall image as posted.

Hi John:
The color and texture of the leaf are nice. The bg lighting is a bit uneven. You could try lightening it as suggested by Pat or darken the whole bg to make the leaf pop.

Hi John :wavey: You honesty is refreshing: and candid!!!! Some posts have numerous leaves, that were supposedly untouched :biggrin: I like the yellow against the brownish B.G. A very nice autumn scene :cool: :smile:
