I like the comp a lot and this definitely looks like the Sierras. I think it would be nicer with some better light, though.

This is a nice image. I like the composition. I believe a slight burn down of the sedges and a slight upward tic of saturation would lend more richness. It does a nice job of showing a Sierra scene on a sunny day.
