The larger version of this is just incredible. As pretty as the colors are, I can't take my eyes off the detail and texture of the trunks. Lovely comp too. Excellent work Kah Kit.

Kah Kit,
The colors are beautiful, but even better is your ability to compose them in this beautiful setting. I agree with Bill -- the leaves here are a colorful backdrop to the lines and textures of the tree trunks and branches.

That's a stunner. Great mix of colors and textures. I envy you your trip to Scotland, and can't wait to see tons of work from you there. :toast:

Colours and details/texture are amazing on that photo. The large view is impressive :)
The only thing I can think of is the part just below the middle of the L shaped branch. It is (naturally of course) a bit brighter than the rest. I've never done such subjects but I would try to burn it a bit to bring the colours of the whole scene toghether (just to see how it would look). Just a personal preference I suppose as the composition and the colours are great!

I love the color, but the trunks really make it for me. They form great lines through the photo and tie it together.

A very good portrait of a beech tree! The texture of the bark looks nice, the light on it enhances it. Maybe a crop from the right to eliminate that thin tree in the bg?

The larger version just jumps off the page. Very beautiful, especially the tree trunks and branches.

Many intricate details to see, yet the two main vertical trunks seem to hold it together so the image is not too busy. Great lighting for the tops of the branches and sides of the trunks, bark details and colors are clearly evident. A well composed image that keeps me looking at it for a long time.

Exquisite detail and a fine extraction Kah Kit, well seen. I would suggest cropping out the horizontal branch at top center that moves out of & into the frame and maybe a crop from the right to eliminate the small white trunk in the bg.

This is awesome. Great color and amazing detail. Really it is just wonderful to look at. I think I agree with the small crop off the top for that one branch going out of the frame and back in. Excellent work, Kah Kit.

Phenomenal. The branches create a superb abstract design against a canvas of autumn gold. Amazing.

Those tree trunks are pretty special going against the fall foliage. Lovely image and great find.

Wow, love the way this arrangement of branches divides up this fall scene. The texture and color of the fg trunks and branches is wonderful... especially in the larger version. In the perfect world I would have liked that darker diagonal branch on the left to have the same value and detail as the rest in the scene, but hey that's Mother Nature. A minor observation to an otherwise stunning image. Good stuff!
