Really nice shot. Well done in the harsh light. It seems to have a crispy looking head -maybe too much sharpening or just the way the feathers looked? Nice looking hawk.

Wonderful image, even with the harsh light. Great detail, pose, and eye.
I found the volcanic rocks always had a tough glare - but you handled it very well.

Nice work in harsh conditions Angela, I like the pose of the hawk and the head turn it gave you.

Not captive-nothing is captive in the Galapagos save a few turtles and iguanas at the Charles Darwin Center on the main island. And those are for breeding and restoration of island populations. They do band a lot of animals in the islands to follow them

Love the lava rock perch Angela, it places the bird in the islands. Really sharp and nice detail. Harsh light handled well.

Looks serious. As has been mentioned a few times, you handled the sunlight well. What i really like about this besides, is the pov. Those talons look mean and that look matches the head and beak.
