Boxley Valley Morning

I took this the same cold morning as the barn a couple weeks ago. I wanted to show the tree on the right and the mountain and sky in the background but I cut off a piece of the building on the left when I did. Did that mistake ruin this image, and is there something I can do to make it not as obvious? Thanks for any suggestions.

This is the image I took 1st but I wanted to show more of the surrounding area. Besides, this one looks tilted to me, but it does show both buildings.

Hi Tony, I like the first version better in part because the shooting position revealed a bit of the end of the barn.

It's helpful when asking for suggestions that you provide the shooting techs but here are my thoughts.

To include both barns I see two options, 1) move back from this shooting position so you can include all the elements in a single frame or 2) shoot multiple frames and stitch them in PS.

As shown it looks like you might have been able to just squeeze in both barns had you composed more to the left, excluding the partial tree at the extreme right. Just a few steps back and composing more to the left would have resulted in all the elements you wanted being captured in a single frame.

Nice work, keep them coming.

I think the first image is pretty nice, and cutting off some of the barn doesn't really affect it much. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks John and Wayne for the replies. You're right Wayne, when I look at it, I see that I could have fit everything in if I would have moved to the right a bit. I couldn't have really moved back because I needed the fence post for support because of the slow shutter speed. I was on my motorcycle and forgot to strap my tripod on.
