Aspen Illusions

Gunnison National Forest, Colorado

Seems like ages ago when I visited Colorado. Lots of processing from a few trips in between now and then can make the time go by fast. This is from the Kebler Pass area, where I had the whole afternoon to myself to wander around and watch the light dance around the aspen boles, making it difficult at times to figure out which tree was in front or back.

Nice take on the aspen. Like this macro - esque version. It is easy to get caught up in the wave of color.

Thanks everyone.... Pamela, I am doing fine. Thanks for asking. Just a couple of scars on my hands remain. It's pretty incredible and one of those life stories I will be telling for a long, long time. I'm still taking my time on a decision for another 4Runner or similar. Lots of time between now and fall of 2011
