Beautiful, almostly painterly scene. I like the moody and mysterious atmosphere.

The strong verticals and muted neutral colors of the tree trunks and moss and the horizontals and brighter colors of the leaves are awesome together, and the mist brings it all together perfectly.

David - You have filled the entire frame with interesting detail - especially like the floating leaves? that add interest to anotherwise muted FG. The details in the moss and leaves must be great in a large print. Are you able to use a tripod for this kind of shot, or is taken from a boat handheld? A simple yet compex subject all in one.
No suggestions on improving- looks great to me.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback.
Harry,,,I was wearing waders for this one. The footing was fairly solid, as far as swamp goes. I often shoot from a kayak using a modified tripod for deeper water or soft bottom.

Superb series of cypress and fog David. This one is another eye grabber. I would love to visit your area some day and spend some time in the bayou.

Another great shot David. There are a couple of cypress trees across the road from my house, sitting in a soccer field. Perhaps I could get the city to flood the field for a few days and try and mimic the bayou, what do you think?

Resonate, resonate, resonate! Maybe it's the whole primeval feel of the scene, but it's just such a great mix of light, color, and atmosphere. Oh, and of course palpable textures.
