I'm not usually one for converting pretty water images into B&W, but I really enjoyed the way this one came out. A bit different, but the title is what I thought of after looking at it.

Rebel XTi, ISO-100, 1 second, f-18.0. Thanks for looking, larger posted, C&C welcomed.

I think I like the taller version best, but here is a big crop to the diagonal just about.

I'm not crazy about the foreground, but overall I think it's a great image. :toast:
Oh and I definitely like the first post better.

Yea most definitely the 1st version. Nailed the shutter speed. I think taking some of the noise out of the water would improve it even more.

Bill I think it works well as a b&w. I'd crop out some of the fg and see about a wider range of tones. Seem like the water should be more white. I too prefer the original version. I like your choice of shutter speed.

Bill,

The image looks to be a tad bit out of focus, or possibly needs sharpening.

This does look good as black and white, and I definitely like the 1st post best. I scrolled down so that the very top of your image, or the top of the trees was just starting to go from view, and thought that cropping the bottom off where the small rock on the lower right is might look nice.
