An open space fall

This shot is from an open space here in a suburb of Denver. There are many of these scattered all around the metro area, and most were just as beautiful as this one was this year. My wife has lived here for most of her life, and she said she thought this was the most beautiful, longest lasting one she had ever seen.

Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

Really great collection of layers Morris! The strong contrast of the tree trunks and leaves in the background are fantastic, as is the wonderful triangle surrounded the red plant in the foreground. Only suggestion - Was is possible to move the comp slightly to the right in order to crop out the two green plants on the left and just focus on the triangle? I think that could provide more balance to the image.

Morris, I like the layers of color here. I find myself wishing there was a focus on one single element. I think this image is just the tip of the iceberg and there are possibilities for many images in this park. Example, obviously is the FG flower or the tree trunks in the background are another possibility.

Cheers,

Carol

Beautiful colors. Love the way the background trees are leaning in - almost as if they're looking back at us.

Beautiful Composition. Really like how everything converges towards the upper middle patch of blue sky. Really draws me into the shot.

I like this Morris. I think, other than the inviting colors, I like how the trees in the bg arch in a way that is repeated by the bluish green needle-like leaves cover the red plant in the fg. Very pretty.

It looks like a family, what a serendipitous arrangement of plant life you've found. Superb work.

Beautiful image. Using grass as a frame for the flower is a very effective way to compose this image.

Nice range of colors and textures, Morris. I like it. We (SE missouri) also have had a long fall, but it is too dry for the best fall colors.

Morris, this is really subtly sweet. Love how the background trees arch in while the foreground grasses radiate out. A very sophisticated arrangement of shapes and colors. Sweet! :toast:

You've captured a fall in the desert feel which is odd for Denver but big on uniqueness points.
