Cleansing Rain

Peach tree leaves settled on a bed of clovers after a fresh rainfall in the Napa Valley. Another composite image--this one is about 12 vertical images stitch, making the image about 15,000 pixels wide. Again, the details are quite stunning. When viewed at 100%, I found a bug sitting beneath the red leaf, something I didn't even see while in the field. A pleasant surprise.

Thanks for any comments/critiques.

Yes - you do have wonderful detail. The uniformity of the green groundcover allows the colors and curves of the leaves to stand out all the more. 12 stitches??? I just spent over 3 hours on 2 stitches. You must be good at this - or have lots of patience!

Great results!

Great color and light to show it off. The one red leaf is placed very effectively in your comp. Must make a great huge print. Both versions show how much clarity there is in the details.

A beautiful composition ... and since this is made of 12 stitched images, you could enlarge it and hang it on the side of a barn.

They may be peach leaves but I'm craving bananas. That's what they look like to me. I do like the red amongst the greens Ben.

Must be some heck of detail and wonderful collections Benjamin.

The yellows against the green are refreshing. Great job here.

This is a really neat image, Benjamin. That one red leaf really makes it. 15,000 pixels wide! Would love to see the 6 ft version of this. Curious, what are you using for stitching these together?

Thanks for the kind remarks folks. For those commenting on the stitching--it's not as difficult as it seems. I just throw all the images in photoshop's automerge function...and it does all the stitch for me  Gotta love technology.
