An unknown plant growing on an old cypress stump gives a bit of vibrant color to the swamp near Caddo Lake. This is a two frame blend for depth of field.

I like how the cypress trees frame the colorful plants and their reflection David. I am also enjoying the wonderful depth and detail admist the earthy tones of your cypress forest.

Beautiful image David. The central color, the reflection and the dark framing. For my tastes this is as fine a cypress image as I recall seeing.

Quite a spooky but beautiful shot, David.I like the super sharpness of the fg trees and the way you have blended the dof.. The slightly blurred bg reflections offer great depth to the image and really get the mind working over what's reflected in the image and what's not. Excellent!

This is definitely one of the nicer cypress/swamp images that I have seen. The detail is wonderful, I like the comp and framing, and it's nice to see some Fall color mixed in with the darker, more moody cypress trees. Really nice.

Gorgeous, David. DOF definitely worked. I like the framing, especially the tree with draped spanish moss on the left. I would almost like to see the scene just framed with this tree alone.

I'm loving these cypress shots. The thumbnail looked like badlands at first. The natural framing is nice and so is the splash of color.

Hi LB,
Looks like the trip to Northwest Louisiana was worth it. The two cypress trees nicely frames the background colors and reflection. Very nice composition.

Interesting choice of framing... it really threw me off for a sec, as I thought everything was reflected at first. Great idea and execution.
