Huangshan Anhui China May 2008. Overlooking at one of famous scenic spot(Monkey Watching the Sea). BTW, scenic names in Huangshan are very poetic and imaginative. Can you spot the stone monkey?

Settings: Nikon D80, 18mm Nikkor 18-200mm VRI, f/8, 1/50sec, ISO100

C&C are welcome and appreciated.

The hills fading into the mist make this one for me. And no, I don't see it yet.

I don't see the monkey Jim. I like the image though, particularly the mist on the mountains. I find the mood appealing also.

I like the foreground texture, but no so much the sky. Could see a tighter comp emphasizing the rock more.

The monkey is the piece of standing rock on the table top near the center of the frame. Told you it is very imaginative;)

Unfortunately, the sky was very blah. The layers were kind of interesting as you pointed out.
