The Great Sand Dunes

Inspired by Stan's posting, I've decided to post my one good shot from my visit to the Great Sand Dunes. It was so incredibly windy we couldn't go hiking, and I was only able to get a few shots before having to retreat into the visitors center. I definitely plan on going back one day soon.

It's unfortunate to see this has so few comments Audrey. This is just as nice as the rest of the GSD shots on this forum, but in it's own special way. Has a very desolate feel to it.

Cool!! I do hope you make it back, and give me a heads up if you ever do. Looks like some great early summer conditions! The very top blue looks a bit too deep (polarization?) but aside from that minor nit this looks great.

Beautiful image Audrey! Only minor nit is the darker blue in the center sky as Stan pointed out.

The patterns in the lower portion of the image are really outstanding, and I like the pastel colors of the far dunes contrasted with the blue skies. Nicely done.
