Here's a shot of Falling Water Falls (at very low water) from last month. The sun had just peaked over the hill and I had a hard time shooting towards the sun and not getting lens flare. You can see the sun reflected in the pool. I was amazed how aqua/turquoise the water was. Seems to be very common in the Ozarks. Fall had just started and while the colors were nice, I was wishing there was more water in the creek. Oh well, you take what you can get!

C&C welcome!

Very nice comp, Phil. The image feels a bit soft though - a minor issue for the web presentation

I like how you framed the water hole with the fall foliage. Very nice image.

I do like that sensation of peering through the lovely foliage to see that cascade. Beautiful. I agree that some more sharpening is needed.

Very appealing composition Phillip! Beautiful array of colors and a interesting scene as such. Like a hidden, secret spot.

Lovely "window" composition. The colors are great too. The web version could be a tad sharper.

Very colorful and well composed, and the single column of the waterfall works nicely to nail the composition down. I'm glad to see you found some good scenes to shoot on your way through to Tennessee. And, you're right, the aqua color is very common in Ozark mountain streams.

This is a lovely little pool you found here Phillip. The small waterfall really adds to the scene. I like how you framed the pool with trees on all sides.

Thanks for all the comments! The image is soft because I forgot to sharpen it! Here is a repost that has been sharpened and I lightened it up a little too. Let me know what you think.

Great capture Phillip. Great composition and wonderful color.

It is rare to have fall color and waterfalls together in the Ozarks. Last year was probably the first in 8 or 10 years. The small stream of water over the falls works nicely to draw the viewer into the swimming hole so I wouldn't be too concerned.

In summer, it is tough to get a shot without swimmers in this pool.

I've never photographed fall in this part of the country. This image encourages
me to do so. Beautiful composed, Phillip, and thanks for sharing.
