More wild Flowers
by Richard Teller
I enjoy doing images of wild flowers. So many times even what we think are useless weeds have very pretty flowers. This image was taken on Big Pine Key in the Florida Keys. I had seen these flowers several times and thought I needed to do some images. It was raining, so I grabbed my umbrella a went out to shoot.

9 commentsIt's a picayune point, but would like to suggest a slight crop from the top and a slight addition of canvas on the bottom. A lot of work but I think the image is worth working with. Perhaps just a crop from the top will address the problem and focus even more attention on the flower.
My two-cents ;^)

Beautiful color palette, great dof decision, excellent subject separation, perfect whites - at least on this monitor. I might orient the image vertically but that's entirely subjective. Very fine image for my tastes - no suggestions.

There is sometime magical about going out in the rain - I do it sometimes. The raindrops on this really makes this very refreshing. Nice capture.
