Brown and Green

Stacked still-life image of Autumn leaves (Pin Oak and Live Oak) and Acorns.

20 images
f/11
-1 EV
Spot meter
Tripod
ISO 200
Remote Shutter release

The most appealing aspect of the image to me are the different textures present in the acorns and the leaves.

This was shot with black construction paper as a background but I don't think the texture of the paper is a deal breaker.

Because I liked this image, I continued to play with it and found a wonderful filter in the NIK software that I applied and it looks like this.

Looking forward to your comments and critiques.

Strong composition Carol and beautiful light. I actually like the texture in the construction paper as well. No suggestions on my part.

Carol: I like this as is but for me the Photo Art version is really good. Some of the reflected highlights here do distract me a bit. >=))>

Hi Carol :wavey: Beautifully arranged and crafted. Agree with Bill. i would prefer a wee less light on the acorns. Nevertheless a stunning image

Carol, great job on the attacking for this one. By sending us over to photo art to see what you've done with the filter I would have to say that one holds my interest longer. Thanks for sharing the two of them.

Carol, I really love this image and its diagonal composition. I always appretiate the elegance of a gray background.
Cheers.

Very nicely arranged and executed still life. I prefer this version to the photo art yet it's probably not fair to compare the two. I would be tempted to crop just a little from the top to remove the OOF portion.

Twenty-- 20! --images? Did you say 20 images? I just can't get my mind around all that... In any case I love your arrangement of the elements in this still life and the detail achieved in the image. I think the directional light is a little strong.
