I like the scene and the comp. To bad that the sky is so bright, it detracts from the rest of the scene for me.

I like the fog and the reflection on the water. In fact, with the slight breeze, I might use a longer shutter speed to smooth it out, but I'm not sure if you used a tripod here given your iso settings.

Winnie and Richard, thanks for taking the time to comment. When I am shooting a scene like this again, I will use the information from you both, to get a better picture.
Again thanks for your help! ( camera was on a tripod )

Hi Ron: When I move the image down in my browser and cut off about the top 1/3 of the photo, I like the effect. I agree that the sky detracts from the photo. But the other elements -- in my view -- are quite pleasing. The cloud/fog, becomes a pleasing element that is not too bright or blown out and adds interest. Also, there is a "repeating pattern" in that there is a bush (which now becomes part the top right 1/2 of the image) that is the same color as the bush in the foreground, and there is a diagonal line of view between the two. I like the reflections of both the aforementioned bush and the green one to the right.

Did you use a polarizing filter here? In an image like this, I always try it and watch the water surfaces for how the PZ cuts glare and changes the look and color.

Just my two cents, but I think the image has great potential with some cropping.

Andy, thanks for taking time and looking at my image and giving me ideas on how to improve it. I have thought about cropping out some of the white sky and fog, and reposting,. Your input really gives me a starting place and a lot of help. Yes, I had on a polarizing filter on and I should have looked at the water more.
