We're building a home in the country south of Abilene and a family of racoons visit every night. This little guy must have gotten left behind as I found him in the garage very thirsty and hungry. This is my daughter in law feeding him breakfast. We kept him about a week until he got stronger and took him to a TPWD wildlife rehabilitator in our county. She thought he was about 8 weeks old- he was certainly a sweet little guy and quite vocal

I like the interaction and catchlight. The brightness of the jewellery distract a little from the raccoon's eyes.

What a cute photo. I had a baby raccoon a few years ago for about a week before a wildlife rehab took it and eventually released him. Ron asked if he was hard to give it. I know mine was. He was like a puppy or kitten following me around, even sitting next to me as I watched tv. Some folks think of them just as pests, I'm glad you didn't.
