I had one of my most productive trips ever the day I caught this one. But it wasn't until I got home and saw the shot on my computer that I noticed the foot-like shape of this rock. :-)

Winter sunset in Andøy, Norway.

C&C welcomed, as always!

Great Image! I like the play of light and your use of the combined ND grads. Some may think the sky is dark, but to me this adds a lot to the drama. Well done, Hakon!

Very cool shot Hakon. The large "footprint" is a very unique compositional element. The far right hand portion of the water/mountains/sky feels a bit dark, but I realize this is likely due to those clouds blocking the sunlight.

Wonderful image Hakon, I love how the dominant foreground lines point back to the light.

Nice leading lines that go toward a great BG - I didn't see the foot until I read your text - just need some boulder toes

Very nice Image Hakon, I like the composition and the color in your image. I'm not totally sold on the exposition of the water, to me it was too long for details and too short to make it abstract. I'd go longer or shorter but that's only me.

The distant glow gives a sense of warm to an otherwise cold and bleak environment.

Håkon,

I much prefer this image over your previous post. The "Giant's foot" is right there! Great find!

There's just a much easier transition from foreground to background in this capture. The lines in the rock just pull the eye in to the frame. And also the mountains in the background don't seem as distant as before. Nice work with this one.
