Royal Tern

From all of our travels this last year, over 20,000 miles, I will be processing images for another year. Besides my camera is in the shop and I haven't been out to take anything new for a while. This is a Royal Tern from the beach at Sanibel Island. The image was taken at sunset. The beach was full of birds that were very cooperative.

Richard,

Really pretty setting and evening light, I like the pose of the tern and the head angle. There seems to be some noise in the background that I would consider using NR on, if you sharpened the background as well as the bird that may have increased the noise present.

Sanibel is lovely. Nice work on isolating just this tern, I know that can be a challenge when the beaches are full of resting birds.

Richard,
I love the sidelight, the pose and the low angle. I like the pebbly beach too. Sanibel must be a beautiful place. :wavey:

Good pov, Richard. The head turn is great and I like the bg. Beautiful place any old day.

Like this nice low image. Great light. Some of the pebbles have the same colors as the beak. A nice compliment.

The nice light and pose make the shot for me Richard. White exposure looks good too.
