Last Gasp
by Mark Shephard
Hi all, I can't believe it's been a couple of months since my last post. Sometimes life has a way of getting in the way of ones pleasures. This was an attempt to record some of the last stages of colour change here in Alberta before the deep freeze sets in. We have a line of poplar trees in the back yard and despite the fact that winter is well on its way, mother nature can definitely put on quite a colourful display before the trees are bare.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by for a look.
As always your thoughts and comments are welcome and appreciated.

Great, intimate fall color closeup. The colors are wonderful. With the exception of that one slice of a leaf out of the focal plane, I like the controlled depth of field here. Nice job with that. and that one leaf, well it's turned on it's side so really it's not all that distracting. I like this very much.

The image is simple and simply beautiful with nice colors and defused BG. Like it.
I miss the autumn colors. I lived in Vancouver for about 10 years.
I like the wonderful colors and detail. Your photo gave me a warm feeling.
