Feeling the warmth

A shot taken at sunrise on our last day in the Matterhorn area. It was freezing cold, but Andreas and I had a lot of fun watching the light change on the shores of lake Riffel before we said good-bye to this amazing place. Any comments are greatly appreciated.

Stunningly beautiful, Dorin... it conveys a very peaceful mood... the reflection of the pink clouds add a lot imho...

Very nice colors and exposure. I like the early ice on the bottom to act as a frame. The center area of darker blue in the sky and also evident in the reflection is unfortunate, imo.

Very nice light. I like you choice to include some ice in the bottom of the frame. This adds a nice elements to the mirrored reflection.

Very nice. The center placement and the reflection works well with the graphic qualities of this image.

Perfect Dorin,

No nits form me here. Just enjoying a well put together shot.
Is that the start of ice forming or grasses near the shore.

Great work

Doug, that was a bit annoying for me too, but there was nothing to do about it.
Anthony, that's actually both. There was this cool aquatic plant, only small parts of it being above water (can't remember the name) and a thin layer of ice surrounding the shores.

Beautiful. Love the colors and light. I like the ice across the bottom of the frame too. The large view is really nice to look at.

Absolutely wonderful. The encroaching ice on the foreground really leads the eyes into the rest of the scene. Nicely done!

It's a bit of a classic viewpoint but you've done a good job with this.It 's the soft lighting and subtle colours that really make this shot a cut above most from this location.
