Green Heron

Green Heron from Viera Wetlands. Shot on a cloudy , cold and windy morning.
I was able to get with in 15 feet of him. Some won't like the BG but i find it to be the natural habitat and I like his intense look.

The green heron is one beautiful bird. I really like the habitat you captured in this shot. Color and sharpness look excellent to me. Great image!

The habitat is not bothersome to me; this is where you find these guys. Good job getting all of him in sharp focus.

Nice sharp image, Eric. I too like the intense look, and the bg doesn't bother me a bit. Excellent feather detail. The only tiny nit that I can see is that this could use just a bit more DOF so the aft foot would be in sharp focus as well.

Love these birds and this really shows the feather detail, colors and habitat very well. It feels a bit tight to me and I would have preferred a bit more room to the right.

Love the angle and determined look on the birds face. Might need a slight rotation, hard to tell.

Setting is fine for me Eric, I also like the pose, natural colors and the great view of the eye.
